Bricks Prices in Pakistan – November 2025

Bricks Prices in Pakistan – November 2025

Bricks remain one of the most important materials in Pakistan’s construction industry. As of November 2025, the brick prices in Pakistan vary significantly depending on quality, type, and region. Understanding these rates helps planners, engineers, and homeowners budget smartly and avoid overrun costs.

Current Bricks Price Ranges in Pakistan

Here are the common types of bricks and their approximate rates:

Brick Type Price (PKR per 1,000 bricks)
A-Grade / First Class (High Quality) Rs 18,500 – 22,000
B-Grade / Second Class Rs 14,500 – 16,000
C-Grade / Low Quality Rs 13,000 – 14,500
Machine-Made / Kiln-Made Brick Rs 17,000 – 19,500
Fly-Ash (Cement) Brick Rs 22 – 23 per brick (i.e., Rs 22,000 – 23,000 per 1,000) for some cities

Regional Price Differences

Brick rates highly depend on the city and the kiln location:

  • In Lahore, A-Class bricks are typically in the range of Rs 14,000 – 17,000 per 1,000.
  • In Karachi, the rate tends to be slightly higher due to transport costs.
  • In Islamabad / Rawalpindi, A-Grade bricks are commonly quoted at PKR 18,000 – 21,000 per 1,000.
  • According to the Nascon kiln-owners report, as of September 2025, red clay bricks (A+ quality) are being sold for Rs 18,500 – 21,000 per 1,000 in some regions.

What’s Causing the Price Variation?

Several factors are pushing brick costs up or down:

  1. Fuel Costs: Kilns depend on coal or gas, so fuel price hikes increase production costs
  2. Raw Material Cost: Clay, cement (for fly-ash bricks), and other raw materials directly impact brick pricing.
  3. Transport & Logistics: Distance from the kiln to the construction site adds to cost, especially in remote areas.
  4. Quality / Grade: Well-burnt, first-class bricks are stronger and cost more; low-quality bricks (C-grade) are cheaper but weaker.
  5. Environmental Regulations: New regulations on kiln emissions are forcing some kiln owners to adopt cleaner fuel or technology, slightly raising costs.

Buying Tips for Builders & Homeowners

  • Sound Test: Tap two bricks; well-fired bricks give a clear ringing sound; weak ones thud.
  • Order Extra: Always include 5–10% additional bricks in your order to account for breakage and cuts.
  • Inspect Sizes: Ensure bricks are uniform in size; irregular bricks waste mortar and complicate masonry.
  • Buy Locally: Source bricks from nearby kilns to reduce freight and transport costs.
  • Quality Over Quantity: For structural walls and load-bearing work, invest in A-Grade bricks. Use a lower grade for non-critical partitions.

Expert Outlook

In November 2025, brick prices in Pakistan show moderate stability for premium-quality bricks, while lower-grade and fly-ash bricks remain popular for budget-conscious and eco-friendly builds. Unless there is a major spike in fuel cost or transport rates, the current ranges are likely to hold steady for the next few months. Builders should negotiate bulk orders and lock in deals early to ensure cost predictability.
