Bricks are one of the most important construction materials in Pakistan. Whether you are building a house, boundary wall, commercial plaza, or farmhouse, knowing the latest brick rates helps you estimate your construction budget accurately. Types of Bricks Used in Pakistan

1. Awwal Bricks (First Class)

Awwal bricks are considered the best quality bricks available in Pakistan. They have excellent strength, uniform shape, smooth finishing, and low water absorption. These bricks are commonly used in houses, commercial buildings, and load-bearing structures.

2. Doem Bricks (Second Class)

Doem bricks offer reasonable quality at a lower cost. They are often used for internal walls, plastered surfaces, and general construction work.

3. Khangar Bricks (Third Class)

Khangar bricks are low-cost bricks mainly used in temporary structures, boundary walls, and non-load-bearing applications.

4. Fly Ash Bricks

Fly ash bricks are becoming increasingly popular due to their eco-friendly nature, better insulation, and consistent dimensions. They are stronger and absorb less water than traditional clay bricks.

Factors Affecting Brick Prices in Pakistan

Several factors influence brick rates across the country:

  • Fuel and coal prices used in brick kilns.
  • Transportation and diesel costs.
  • Labor wages and kiln operating expenses.
  • Seasonal demand during peak construction periods.
  • Availability of clay and raw materials.
  • Local market conditions and housing project activity.

Which Brick Quality Should You Choose?

For residential houses and commercial buildings, construction experts recommend using A-Class (Awwal) bricks because they provide better strength, durability, and long-term performance. While Doem and Khangar bricks may reduce initial costs, they are generally less durable and can increase maintenance expenses over time.

Conclusion

The brick price in Pakistan on 31th May 2026 ranges from Rs. 16,000 to Rs. 19,500 per 1,000 for A-Class bricks, while lower-quality bricks are available at cheaper rates. Before purchasing, always compare rates from nearby brick kilns and suppliers, as transportation costs can significantly affect the final price.
